Imaginative

Srinidhi is very imaginative, I think that is more important than being knowledgeable. Few examples.

He knows train, 'choo choo choo'. Couple of months back, we arranged a set of coins, big followed by small, in a row and asked him what that was. He immediately said 'choo choo choo', even though his train was no where in sight. In fact, since then he has been creating his 'choo choo choos' with all kinds of things, blocks, books, peas, toys, even toy cars.

Yesterday I showed him a page from a book, a dinning table was a minor part of that page. There was a tea pot and a small bowl among other things. He has never seen tea pot in use since we don't drink tea or coffee. I asked him where milk was, he looked in the page for a while and since he did not see any cow (which he usually points to when asked to show milk), he showed the tea pot ! I asked him where the cereal was and he showed the bowl.

In one of the books we were reading, there was a night lamp with a vine design. The vine was not apparent at all, even for us adults. The vine was winding up the lamp. He noticed it and showed with his hand how it was winding up. We had to look closely to understand it was a vine!

Many more. It is very obvious he can imagine and correlate to things and remembers everything he learns. Exciting.
