15 seconds
15 seconds, thats all you need to take a positive decision. Don't think too hard and make the immensity intimidate you. Take one small step at a time, just 15 seconds. Anyway, thats the approach I use to motivate myself, from Jan this year (nothing to do with 'new' year, just coincidental). I have been able to acheive lot of progress in personal finance and health.
My goal is to run for 40 minutes a day for 6 days a week, at least at 4 mph. Happy to say, I am doing OK. I am averaging 40 minutes a day for 5 days at 4.4 mph. The good news is, the difference is palpable. First to me, I feel much better, happier and healthier. My wife can see I am loosing weight. More importantly, two persons who visited me recently, clearly knew I am loosing weight even though I didn't tell them I am exercising. I am going to keep it up.
