First School Purchase

Last month, we made the first school purchase for Srinidhi. We bought this Dora-the-explorer lunch box. Veena always thought Dora items are girlish and shied away from it, even though Srinidhi loves Dora. YES, he will be going to school in couple of weeks!

There is a Mexican bakery near South Blvd-Archdale in Charlotte. We stop by there from time to time. We stopped by there yesterday and picked some sweets. For my local friends that read the blog, I recommend it, if you can afford to eat lot of butter, sugar and carbs. It is nothing extraordinary, just a good Mexican bakery.

We went to the lake for a swim last evening. That's Srinidhi floating on the tube, for the first time. Where am I??? I am hiding on the other side of the tube.

After swimming, we stopped by a Marina that has a good Italian Restaurant, Putt Putt golf and other amusements.

This marina has an area where we can feed these large fishes. These fishes are two to three feet in length. (Being a vegetarian, I do not know much about fish varieties. One I could identify was the cat fish.) Note the fishes are larger than the duck!! There are few dozen in this picture. We can take the fish feedd very close to the water, and they almost pick it from our hand.

We played a round of Putt Putt golf.

Veena feeding the fish. (Isn't it good to feed the fish instead of feeding on the fish :-)

Ganesh and Mathula had invited us for dinner yesterday. (Ganesh is from my alma mater RECT, five years junior to me.) Ganesh's father has come from India. Here, Srinidhi and Aditya playing.

ஆதித்யாவுடன்.
